v Our Pavilion – for parties of 75-250: Our pavilion area includes a stage, dance-floor, bar, and restrooms. It overlooks a beautiful view of Cross Bayou and can easily accommodate a party of 250 under cover. The pavilion is available during normal business hours and is only available with a catered party of 75 or more. Please remember to inform your guests to dress appropriately for the weather.
v Business Hours: We are open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30AM until 9PM.
v Event Times: Events are generally scheduled during normal business hours. All private events must end by 10:30PM.
v Food & Beverage: All federal, state and local laws related to food and beverage purchases and consumption will be strictly enforced. Outside food and/or beverages are not permitted because it violates state and local health and/or licensing codes. No food and beverages of any kind (with the exception of cakes) may be brought into Cajun Café on the Bayou by the Client or any of the Client’s Guests.
v Pavilion Bar: A bartended will be provided for your party. From our pavilion bar, we serve bottled beer, draught beer, and wine, canned soft drinks and bottled water. Prices range from $3 to $25 for beer and wine. Soft drinks and bottled water are available for $1 per can or bottle. You can request a cash bar, run a tab, run a limited tab, or give your guests drink tickets. Your guests can run tabs by leaving a credit card with the bartender.
v Catering Menu: Our standard catering menu includes: Crawfish Cornbread, Creole Roasted Pulled Pork, Crawfish, Shrimp or Chicken Etoufeé (specify one), Red Beans & Rice, Jambalaya and Whiskey Bread Pudding. Hamburgers, Salads & Kid’s Meals are available upon request. All food will be served cafeteria-style from our Food Window located near the Pavilion Entrance. Your guests are welcome to come back for seconds once everyone has been served. Cajun Café on the Bayou will prepare between 5%-10% overage based on the final number of guests we receive from you. You are not charged for the extra amount.
v Music: You are welcome to bring your own band or DJ when using the pavilion. Bands and DJ’s must provide their own PA system. A sound system which plays CDs is also available.
v Decorations: Staples and tape can be used in decorating, but please, no nails.
v Conduct & Unlawful Activity
v Conduct: Cajun Café on the Bayou promotes a safe and friendly atmosphere and reserves the right to inspect and control all events and ask any guest to leave the premises at any time if Cajun Café on the Bayou management determines that the guest’s behavior is inappropriate, dangerous, disruptive or destructive.
v Underage Drinking: We have a zero tolerance policy for underage drinking as per Florida State law and we will enforce the legal drinking age of 21.
v Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol to any person we deem to be inebriated.
v Unlawful Activity: The client will comply with all the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, all municipal ordinances and all lawful orders of police and fire departments, and will not do anything on the premises in violation of any laws, ordinances, rules or orders. If unlawful activities are occurring on the premises, and guests are asked to leave, there will be no refund of any kind from CAJUN CAFÉ ON THE BAYOU to client.
v Financial Stipulations
v Event Booking and Contracting: We recommend you sign the contract and pay the $200 non-refundable deposit within 30 days of receipt of this contract to hold your event reservation, although we will not book another event without contacting you first.
v Deposit: A 50% estimated deposit is due one week (7 days) prior to the event.
v Cancellations: Any cancellation less than 48 hours from the event will result in forfeiture of all deposits.
v Final Guest Count Guarantee: Final Guest Count, not subject to reduction, is due 3 days prior to your event date(s). Client agrees to pay for individuals accounted for in the final head count that do not attend. If you need to increase your guest count within 3 days of your event date, we will make every effort to accommodate your request. Additional fees and charges will apply beyond the normal agreed upon expenses.
v Children: Children under the age of 5 are not charged for catering and do not need to be included in your final count. Children between ages 6-12 are charged $5 on the agreed upon menu or a children's menu.
v Service Charge: An 18% Service Charge will be added to all charges for the event.
v Florida State Tax: Cajun Café on the Bayou charges the current rate, 7%, on all listed services.
v Tax Exempt: Planners requesting tax exempt status are required to submit a copy of their registered exemption certificate when booking the event.
v Final Payment: Final Payment is due prior to the start time on the day of your event. If your guest count exceeds the invoice, you will be billed this extra amount at the end of the night.
v Payment Methods: We except cash, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover, or company check.
v Liability: The Client agrees to be responsible for any damage done to the pavilion, patio or any other part of Cajun Café on the Bayou by the Client, his guests, invitees, independent contractors, or other agents under the Client’s control. Any damages to the premises will be charged to the client.
v Client agrees to indemnify and hold Cajun Café on the Bayou harmless against all claims for injury or damage to persons or property arising out of any act, omission, negligence or misconduct on the part of said client or any of its agents, guests, or invitees.
v Personal Property: Cajun Café on the Bayou will not assume or accept any responsibility for damage to or loss of any merchandise or articles left in the venue prior to, during or following the Client’s function.
v Collection Fees: Should Cajun Café on the Bayou employ an attorney to collect any amounts due hereunder, the client agrees to pay all costs incurred by Cajun Café on the Bayou Cafe including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees, court costs and expenses.
