Cajun Cafe on the Bayou -- Louisiana Cuisine and Fine Craft Ale -- Est. 1996

If you'dd like to see our menu online, please open the link to our pdf file above. It's a large file, so please be patient as it may take a few minutes to open completely.
Our menu features many popular and authentic Cajun dishes, which are cooked from scratch, the old fashioned way. Some are delicious and spicy, and some are just plain delicious, no spice needed. If you're bringing along friends who like things more mainstream, we also have a few items such as chicken fingers, burgers and salads, that we hope will give them a few safe options.
Our Menu's History
Cajun Cafe on the Bayou was established in 1996 by Rebecca's father, Joe Thibodaux of Thibodaux, Louisiana.
To establish Cajun Cafe on the Bayou's original menu, Joe hand-selected his favorite recipes from friends and family in the Thibodaux area. Many family arguments ensued over Joe's choices, as not all tastes are the same, but Joe won out and most of his favorites are still served at Cajun Cafe on the Bayou to this day.
When Paul and Rebecca purchased the restaurant in 2003, Paul, a beer-lover from Bristol, England, began stocking the bar with Fine Craft Ale. We now have an extensive beer selection that is sure to satisfy most tastes.
Live Crawfish
We purchase our live crawfish from Louisiana and have them flown in weekly, during the time of year when they are at their best -- usually from about February through June. During crawfish season, please call to check availability if you are coming to the Cafe primarily for crawfish. Sometimes the demand is quite high and we do sellout from time to time.
